   This section covers the evolution from rigid, rules-based RPA (handling fixed “How” steps, like clicking a button) to dynamic, Goal-Oriented Agents (handling the flexible “What” needs to be achieved, like “Summarize project ‘ABS’ emails”).

   Rigidity vs. Autonomy (The Key Difference)

   • RPA/Fixed (“How”): If ‘Email Subject’ contains “Invoice”, then click ‘Download Button’ at coordinates (X, Y). This process fails if the website UI changes.
   • Agentic/Flexible (“What”): Find and process all pending invoices. The agent uses reasoning to find the button, even if the UI moves.
